Ep. 47: 2021 RSB Podcast Year in Review

In this episode we close out the 2021 year. I am joined by Jaime and Hiram (in person). Hiram shares his experience with his battle with covid over the New Year's weekend. We also talk some Dallas Cowboys football and how Jaime is barely holding on to the band wagon. We do something a little different on this episode as we do a year in review on some of the more memorable moments and guest that we had on the podcast in 2021. We start off talking about our first episode where we really didn't know what we were doing. Our first guest joins the podcast Nick "I'm not Hollywood" Lopez. We talk about the Chicken Wars March Madness contest where we eat way too many chicken sandwiches. Many other guest joined the podcast throughout the year including Captain Mike, The Queen of BBQ, Chillin and Grillin and many more.

We finish out season one with some remote podcast at the High Steaks Texas Cook'em in Edinburg. We had some pretty cool guest on that one and made friends with Bret Galloway. We talk about the beginnings of our experience in competition cookoff and how we have progressed since then. Hiram comes up with a new tamale dish combining tamales with Frito pie. Could this be a new Texas Staple? We talk about our visit to Smokecrafters and our experience making sausage. The guys want to know why things are called Chicken Fried when there is not chicken in the recipe.

We talk about some bucket list items knocked off in 2021 which included my outdoor Thanksgiving, Hiram's steak cooking, and our CBA Grand Championship. We end off by talking about what we see for the podcast in 2022 and some potential ideas that we have in mind. Thanks for all the listens and support!!!!! A bunch of joes that cook like pros!!!
