In this episode I am joined by Jaime and Hiram. We start by talking about the elephant (or should I say goat) in the sports world with the news of Tom Brady's divorce.  The guys discuss if it's worth leaving family for football. Then we speculate who the pair ends up dating in the future.  The next headline is the horrible 0-5 start for the Los Angeles Lakers.  Hiram provides the temperature of he LA sports world and how they are reacting.  Last but not least we talk about the Houston Astros that are currently playing in the World Series.  Hiram isn't having it as he is still not over the Astros cheating scandal and says everyone outside of our bubble in Texas hates them.

BBQ time: I talk about my recent visit to Smoke Crafters BBQ and a dish I try for the first time. Really thought I had tried them all.  Well I'm talking about a giant pair of fried fish tacos with homemade flour tortillas, coleslaw and pico de gallo.  These are legit!! Definitely will order this again and again. I also pay a visit to our other friends at GW BBQ and Catering.  Now they have the chicken fried brisket available everyday of the week so of course I gotta have me some of that.  If you haven't tried it, you gotta go and tell them Ready Set BBQ sent you.  I hook up both the owners with some Ready Set BBQ swag, If you don't have any well I don't know what you are waiting for.  Christmas is around the corner and they make a great gift.  Hiram has some plans to makes some pork ribs for a friends retreat.

We of course have to talk about Halloween as we are recording the day before. We talk about some Halloween parties Hiram and I attended and our chosen costumes for this year.  Hiram is coming off his second costume party of the weekend.  We admit we are getting a little old for the big party life.  We then talk about some of the hit or miss candies we recall from our childhood.  We close it out with us wanting to bring back our backyard family cookoff.  We talk about some possible categories this year.  Margaritas for sure!! A bunch of joes that cook like pros!!
